Dr Zizamele Ernest Cebekhulu is a respected leader with a distinguished career in law enforcement and union advocacy.

He served in the South African Police Service from 1983 to 2023, rising to the rank of Colonel, and led the Police and Prisons Civil Rights Union (POPCRU) as President for 27 years.

Internationally recognised for promoting inclusivity and workers’ rights, he also established the POPCRU Group of Companies and Educational Trust.

Holding a PhD and MBA in Business Administration, as well as a Master’s in Criminal Justice Law, he now serves as Chairperson of the Safer South Africa Foundation and as a non-executive director of Royale Energy.

Mr Mpho Dipela is a seasoned executive and Chartered Management Accountant with extensive experience in finance, governance, and business transformation.

His career spans leadership roles such as CEO of Legacy Motor Group, Group Director of Finance at PGC Group, and CFO at Capricorn District Municipality.

With a proven record in strategy, operations, and risk management, he has successfully led diverse organisations to growth and profitability.

He is the Executive Chairperson of Tshwaledi Investments and a director of multiple companies, including Royale Energy.

Stephan Nothnagel

Stephan Nothnagel is a qualified CA(SA) (University of Pretoria) and a practising member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants. He is an accomplished businessman with extensive experience in the petroleum industry.

Prior to joining Royale Energy in 2006, Stephan worked at Engen, where he was responsible for business planning and analysis across multiple profitable business units. He subsequently served as Financial Director of Afric Oil Petroleum, implementing robust structures and establishing numerous successful business units. Since assuming a leadership role at Royale Energy, Stephan has guided the company through significant growth, maintaining a strong upward trajectory despite challenging market conditions.

Henk de Jager

Henk holds a degree in Accounting and is a Chartered UK Company Secretary & Administrator. He completed his Articles with Bentley & Partners and holds an MBA from the Gordon Institute of Business Science in Johannesburg. He has also completed a postgraduate diploma as a Non-Executive Director through the Sunday Times in London, as well as a FinTech certificate from the Saïd Business School, Oxford.

With over twenty-five years of experience in financial services across Africa and the Middle East, Henk has held senior leadership roles including CFO of Bank Gaborone in Botswana, Finance Director of Lesaka Employee Benefits, and GM of a Johannesburg-based foreign exchange risk management firm. Most recently, he served as Head of Finance & Administration at Emirates Insurance Company, a listed insurer in Abu Dhabi.

He is a practising member of the South African Institute of Professional Accountants.

Molefe Mputamputa

Molefe Mputamputa is an experienced executive with over 25 years in the energy, petrochemical, and supply chain sectors. He is the Chief Operating Officer of Royale Energy (Pty) Ltd and an executive board member for Royale Energy and its subsidiary Afric Oil.

Previously, he held senior leadership roles at Shell in South Africa and Europe, including General Manager positions in distribution operations and lubricants supply chain. He began his career as a Process Engineer at SAPREF and later worked in refinery economics and management consulting.

Molefe holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering, a BCom in Quantitative Management, and an MBA, along with professional certifications in supply chain management and Six Sigma.
